This policy explains how information is handled when using Recoleta · Non Omnis Moriar, an independent cultural guide to La Recoleta Cemetery. Its main content works offline and no account is required.
Data and tracking
The app includes no advertising, trackers or third-party analytics services. It does not send your location, searches, saved items or progress to our own servers. Guide features are processed on your device. Apple services, external links and support messages are described separately below.
Optional location access
With your permission, the app uses your location and heading while in use to show your position and help you navigate the paths. It may request temporary precise access to distinguish nearby paths. These signals are processed on your device; the app does not save a coordinate history or send them to a server. It does not request background location access. You can use the guide without this permission, set a position manually, or change access in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services. Simulated location lasts only for the session and is labelled as simulated.
Saved items, preferences and retention
Language, map preferences, saved entries and tours, your custom tour and progress are kept in the app’s local storage until you change or remove them. Searches query the catalogue and no search history is saved. There is no user account or app-operated cross-device sync. iOS backups may include local data depending on your settings; Apple manages those backups. The app does not keep a copy on our own servers.
Read aloud
Read aloud uses the iOS speech synthesizer and voices available on your device. The app does not need microphone access, record your voice or send text to our own audio service. Voice downloads and availability depend on iOS and Apple services.
External links and sharing
Opening a source, ticket link, Apple Maps or a support page takes you outside the guide’s local experience. The destination service may receive your IP address, the query or link destination and other information under its own policy. When sharing an entry, you choose the destination app through iOS sharing options. Review the content before sending it. The guide does not share your location with these services in the background.
Apple diagnostics and TestFlight
Apple may process and share crash reports and diagnostic data with the developer according to your settings and its service terms. If you use a TestFlight version, Apple handles beta information, diagnostics and feedback you submit. The app’s local technical logs include loading times and do not include your coordinates, searches or saved items. The app adds no analytics or diagnostic-upload service of its own.
Support and privacy enquiries
If you choose to contact us, we receive the content, contact details and attachments you decide to provide. They are used to address the request, resolve the issue and follow up when necessary, not for advertising or profiling. Avoid sensitive information, your precise location or other people’s data. We retain this correspondence only as long as necessary for those purposes and applicable obligations. You may request deletion through the same channel.
Your choices and policy changes
You can remove saved entries and tours, change preferences and revoke location permission in iOS. To erase all local data, delete the app and its data in iOS Settings; offloading it while keeping data does not erase them. Backups may restore those data. Manage backups separately in Apple settings. If the app’s practices change, we will update this policy and the date at the top. The bundled version describes the practices of the app version you are using.

The support form
Submitting the form saves the category, message, date, reference number and any optional details you provide: name, reply email and app or iOS version. No attachments or location are requested. Email is optional; without it we can receive your enquiry but cannot reply. Messages are not public.
Purpose and retention
Data is used to address your request, correct issues and handle privacy enquiries, not for ads or profiling. Only the authorised responsible party can access the inbox. Request access, correction or deletion using the privacy category, your reference and a way to reply. Enquiries older than 180 days are removed on the next submission or inbox review, and may be deleted earlier when no longer needed.
Hosting and service protection
The site is hosted on OpenAI Sites using Cloudflare infrastructure, with enquiries stored in Cloudflare D1. These providers may process technical connection and security data under their own terms. Spam protection uses a temporary keyed cryptographic fingerprint of the IP address; the original IP is not stored in the enquiry database. Fingerprints change every 30 minutes and expired records are removed on new submissions. We add no analytics, advertising, remote fonts or marketing cookies. Private access and the inbox use Sites-managed sign-in and necessary cookies.

The sections above cover the app and this form. Other websites, Apple Maps and external services follow their own privacy policies. We will update this text if providers or data practices change.
